HOW CAN I BE A CONTRIBUTOR?
- Be a reader and follower. Make sure to read articles on our website or videos on our YouTube channel in the category you want to cover to get a sense of what we are looking for.
- Read our writing guidelines below.
- We accept essays or articles that have been published somewhere else.
- We accept creative pitches.
- Send your essay or pitch to editorial@broadly-specific.com and write “SUBMISSION: (Title) (Your Name)” in the email subject. For rejected essays and pitches, we will still try to get back to you.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Passionate individuals in multiple mediums, which might include: film, art, culture, history, literature, gaming and so on.
- Articles or works that can intersect different media and art with one another; to view things in both the macro and micro, e.g. the intersection of history and the zeitgeist of an era with a piece of art or an artist.
- Non-western perspectives: We welcome people and viewpoints from Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, MENA and the “subaltern”. While our media is currently only in English, which dampens our accessibility to these places, our goal is to introduce topics and cultures from these places to people internationally.
