We are proud to announce that we have a brand new podcast, Post-Watch Blues. This will be a solo podcast hosted by myself. Post-Watch Blues is a bite-sized, scripted podcast where we will discuss the history, context, and interpretations of a diverse range of films. This podcast hopes to deliver a unique auditory experience with film soundtracks, clips, and interviews of filmmakers interwoven into each episode. Essentially, I am hoping to deliver something akin to a mini-commentary of films that is most suitable to listen to (as the name suggests) after you just watched the film. I hope to deliver something that is digestible and could be consumed within a short period of time, approximately around 10 to 20 minutes. The podcast will also not be chronological in any sort of way, so you are able to jump between episodes depending on which film you are interested in. This is a huge step for Broadly Specific because it allows us to finally be a multi-medium outlet as we move beyond just articles. Who knows? maybe something like video essays won’t be out of the realm of possibility.
You can follow us on several platforms, our main podcast RSS will be hosted on Anchor. You can listen to the prologue episode here:

I am also proud to announce that the first episode of the podcast will be covering Chungking Express (1994) directed by Wong Kar-Wai. This is a homage to our first ever article on this website.
